Part of managing diabetes includes good foot care. Over time, diabetes can damage nerves and blood vessels in the lower legs and feet leading to a loss of sensation, poor circulation, and poor healing. Poor foot care in diabetic patients can lead to infections, ulcers, and amputation in severe cases. Our podiatrists are trained to provide comprehensive and complete diabetic foot care, including:
  • LOPS/Sensation Examinations
  • Circulatory Examinations
  • Diabetic Shoe & Insert Orders
  • Treatment of Diabetic Ulcers
  • Treatment of Diabetic Wounds
Our podiatrists have several years of experience in treating wounds to the lower leg and foot. They have extensive knowledge in treating acute, chronic, and non-healing ulcers of all types. Through continuing education courses and seminars, as well as collaboration with other wound specialists, Traveling Podiatry Care doctors are able to provide care to not only improve the wound but also the patient's quality of life. Wound services include:
  • Wound Debridement
  • Wound Bandaging
